High Point Market || Part 1

The weekend before last, I headed to High Point, NC for the High Point Market.  The market was amazing and huge.  It had to be at least fifty blocks.  For those who have never attended or quite understand what the High Point Market is, it's basically like a ginormous indoor mall with small storefronts dedicated to interior design.  This doesn't include all the shops outside of the main buildings that are open for the market.  I saw maybe a 1/16th of all that was offered.

**Photos were taken with my iphone, and I was a bit too lazy to Instagram or edit over 200 photos.   But you completely understand, right?

Steven Shell

I saw Steven Shell last year and loved him!  His furniture is so fun and colorful, which is all hand painted.   You can customize your furniture colors and paintings as well.   My favorite quote in this store?  "He doesn't even do drugs or take hallucinogens."  Hilarious.  Well, not everyone needs drugs to be creative.

adesal jacquards

This is a fabric store located in Argentina, and if you live in the US, it's better to visit Greenhouse Fabrics to avoid high shipping.   I just loved some of the prints they carried.

Jonathan Adler

I really should have gotten a few photos of his wall of  fun pillows.   Check out those fun lamps too.

Here are a few singular shots.

Huitru throw, a pillow in one of the hallways, and a Charleston Forge coffee table.  I didn't realize the coffee table shot was cut off, so I am sorry about that.  It's legs and coloring are gorgeous!

Golden Oldies Go Home

I visited their main store, which is open all year round.  This place is a must see for any antique vintage lover.   It's a large warehouse crammed with all sorts of good finds.

These last photos were overexposed.  I'm pretty sure my flash came on.  I tried to reduce the brightness a little for you.  But you get a pretty good idea of how much stuff Golden Oldies has.

How was your weekend?  I got a little bit of sewing done this past weekend, but I made no progress in my home projects.   So much to do with so little time.  :)

  1. Love the Jonathan Adler display! And I could spend all day poking around in the Golden Oldies store, but MOST importantly....did you figure out how to sneak me in next year?!

I wish I could have gone with you! I found out Emily Henderson was there with HGTV, and she is my favorite Design Star winner.
